mFC’s mission is to help people age well – age optimally.
So we were thrilled to be invited to lead a panel discussion during this year’s Optimal Aging Conference.
We’ll be hosting a discussing on ageism as it relates to the digital experience. We know ageism is a very real phenomenon – especially in the digital world and online. For the discussion, we’ll be bringing in residents from local assisted living facilities to get some firsthand perspective on the topic.
The Optimal Aging Conference is hosted by the University of Louisville’s Institute for Sustainable Health & Optimal Aging, in partnership with the Kentucky Association for Gerontology. It’s held each year in Louisville, Kentucky, which is sort of the proverbial glue that holds the aging care industry together. If you don’t believe us, ask the Internet.
The conference draws people from the worlds of academia, health care and social services, along with older adults, all united under the belief that aging is an opportunity. This year’s theme is “Approaching Aging as a Life-Long Journey.”
Conference sponsors include AARP, Kindred Healthcare and others. We’re excited to participate, but we’re also looking forward to hearing from the dynamic lineup of speakers…people like Sandy Markwood, CEO of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging, and Christopher Callahan, Director of Indiana University’s Center for Aging Research.
It’s a great opportunity for the mFC team to learn from the experts and contribute to the conversation. Our discussion is set for June 12 from 10:15-11:45…check us out if you get a chance!
