Cellular Connectivity Now Available

Cellular connectivity can be a crucial factor in enabling seniors to age in place and access telehealth services from their homes. Telehealth involves using technology, such as video conferencing, remote monitoring devices, and mobile apps, to deliver healthcare services remotely. This can be especially important for seniors who may have mobility issues, chronic health conditions, or live in rural areas with limited access to healthcare facilities.

The OdessaConnect TV box requires an internet connection in the home or in the senior living facility, a technical requirement that excludes many older adults who do not have internet in their homes.

Today OdessaConnect announces enhanced connectivity via the addition of a cellular modem to its TV box, enabling connectivity to families, doctors, care team and community for patients who do not otherwise have internet in the home.

The cellular modems will operate on 5G LTE signal, with service on AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile networks.

This development is a significant step forward in Odessa’s mission to empower older adults with technology designed to be safe and simple, and to connect the disconnected.
